20th Anniversary Closing — Winners of the Raffle

Last Friday, we had the closing of the 20th Anniversary.  The evening began with Taize Prayer in the chapel, led by Fr. John, a Taize Brother from   the Taize Community in Saone-et Loire, Burgundy. France    The prayer, chant, reflection capsulized the year of gratitude for all that has been and for all those who have been guests at the Center during the past twenty years.  For many it was their first experience of Taize Prayer, for others it had been a monthly experience.  All were grateful for those moments of quiet reflection and sense of deep relation with a group of 150+. For those who asked for another opportunity, I am pleased to say that there are two evenings of Taize Prayer scheduled next year in our chapel:  An Advent Theme December 14 and one on March 8, 2018 with a Lenten Theme.

Shortly after the prayer, we gathered for refreshments.    Sr. Helen Budzik, who has been with the center from its beginning announced it was time for the Drawing of the 20th Anniversary fund-raising Raffle.  Sister Margaret Oman, who had knitted the Irish Stitched Afghan and Randy Schaffer, who had painted the two pictures pulled the drawing tickets.  The winners of the raffle are below.  However, the real winners are all those who will be attending programs at the Center.  Already people are remarking on the clarity of the projected images and the clear sound.  The presenters remark on the ease of using the sound equipment especially the wireless microphones.

We thank all of you have made this possible with your donations.  May you experience God’s blessing!
