We will examine the status, significance and spirituality of women as expressed in the Qur’an and Islamic tradition, as well as in Islamic history and culture. Meet the first women of Islam, empresses, patronesses, poets and revolutionaries. Contemporary issues and challenges facing Muslim women will also be discussed.
