Reflecting on the laborers hired to work in the vineyard who all get the same pay regardless of the number of hours they worked, we will forage into the areas of competition, fairness, vulnerability, the effect of comparisons and the right to be generous. Come join the discussion and open your heart to the vulnerability that helps us understand that it’s okay even when life isn’t fair.

Melissa Hickey is a National Certified Counselor, spiritual director, liturgical musician and retreat director. She received her graduate degree in Pastoral Care and Counseling from Neumann University and BA in Theology from Immaculate University. For twenty years Melissa worked in the education field as a music educator, and later as a campus ministry director working with young adults in the areas of spiritual formation, retreats, and service opportunities. She is a member of the American Counseling Association, the American Association for Pastoral Counselors, and Spiritual Directors International and currently is the Director of the Tara Center for Hope and Healing in Claymont, DE
Julia Keegan, OSF, a Sister of St. Francis of Philadelphia, is an associate staff member at the Franciscan Spiritual Center. Her ministry includes authoring the Center’s Blog, overseeing the website and other electronic social networks, giving retreats, doing spiritual direction and offering workshops on gratitude, Franciscan theology, and evolutionary spirituality. She has extensive professional experience in health care, nursing education, ethics, development, and has been involved in offering programs at parishes and health care institutions.
