Encounters with Jesus: Courage to be Whole

$40.00

During his public ministry, Jesus did more than just preach.  In fact some of the best lessons we can learn from him are those taught through his encounters with the people he met on the road.  In his travels, Jesus met different types of people.  He met the poor and the rich, the sick and the healthy.  He not only responded to those who reached out to him, but also knew how to reach out to those who were unaware of what they needed from Him.  During this session highlight the Man Born Blind, Woman Bent Over and the Woman with the Hemorrhage..  Through the use of Ignatian Contemplation, we will immerse ourselves fully in these gospel stories  Come and have your own private encounter with Jesus.

There is an innate need in each of us for quiet time, stillness, and space to be with ourselves and with God.  The hectic pace of life often causes us to ignore or sideline this innate need, this hunger for God.  Jesus understood this need in himself and in his disciples and modeled for them by taking time to be alone with his Father and inviting them to do the same. This Day of Prayer will provide us with input as well as the time, space, and stillness to accompany Jesus to a quiet place where we can Just Be - Rest, and Be Refreshed in God’s presence.
