Following St. Francis of Assisi’s insights wherein all of your needs are tended to, Franciscan solitude offers an opportunity to be deeply attentive to Jesus while sharing your experience with others who seek peace and quiet in their busy lives.

This experience invites you to “sit at the feet of Jesus” as you enter into solitude, based on the Gospel images of Martha and Mary. Following St. Francis of Assisi’s insights wherein all of your needs are tended to, Franciscan solitude offers an opportunity to be deeply attentive to Jesus while sharing your experience with others who seek peace and quiet in their busy lives.  Retreatants will be staying in the hermitage but eating, praying, etc in St. Elizabeth House.

Starts at July 23, 2023 at 7PM  and ends at noon on July 28.

Jean Ustasiewski, OSF, is a Sister of St. Francis of Philadelphia who serves on the Franciscan Spiritual Center staff. Previously Jean served the congregation as the director of its associate program, Franciscan Companions in Mission, and as a pastoral counselor and school guidance counselor.
