“Look for a Leaf”: Finding our Foremothers in Faith: A Guided Retreat (Live Streaming)

$210.00

The now familiar website, ancestry.com advertises that “a family tree ties your history together by taking you back generations.”  This is true of the Biblical family tree as well—a tree whose leaves are veined with the stories of women whose faith in God and in themselves empowered each of them to serve God and the story of salvation in the most unexpected ways.  You will be invited during this guided retreat to engage with them in such a way that these foremothers in faith become more than a name.  As we reflect on the Scriptural narratives that recount the stories of women like Sarah and Hagar, Miriam and Deborah, Ruth and Naomi, Hannah and Elizabeth, Anna of Jerusalem, and Mary of Nazareth, we will discover that our own experiences resonate with theirs and that, in each of our lives—as in theirs—God continues to add leaves to the family tree of faith.

The Logistics:  TThis retreat will be live streamed.  There will be a different Link for each presentation and it will be emailed to you the day before each presentation along with any handouts..  Retreat begins at 7 PM on Saturday, June 12, 2021 all other days will be from from 10 to 11:30 AM (90 minutes), ending Friday June 18, 2021 at 11:30 AM.
