Barking to the Choir: Finding the Kinship of God

This is a You Tube video presented by Fr. Greg Boyle who wrote the book:  Tattoos On The Heart: The Power of Boundless Compassion.  It was presented at the 2012 LA Religious Education Conference.  It is a very inspiriting presentation that lasts about an hour and 30 minutes but filled with content about his experience with street gangs.  If you have the time it will be a retreat experience in and of itself.

Often people have a desire to make a retreat but don’t quite know what it entails or can’t take time away from school or work.  You might want to explore one or two.  Creighton University has an online retreat  that is very solid and very practical.  You might want to consider looking at it and see how it might fit into your life.

The Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondolet have a great retreat for young people.  This one focuses on Psalm 139.  I think it is very substantial.  Simple enough to fit into a busy life and profound in its concepts.  Journey with your heart into the amazing person God made you to be and how very tenderly God knows you through and through .

Rooted in the Gospel...We welcome all as sister and brother.
