“The Wounded Healer”: Reflecting on the Stigmata of St. Francis

$40.00

As we draw near to the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi on October 4, we Franciscans are also mindful of the larger context in which this year’s celebration finds itself.  Since 2023, the entire Franciscan Family has been engaged in reflecting on the 800th anniversary of the most significant events that marked the last four years in the life of Francis:  The Later Rule and the Christmas at Greccio (1223-2023); The Stigmata  (1224-2024); The Canticle of the Creatures (1225-2025); and the Easter of Francis (his death) (1226- 2026).  To honor this year’s focus on Francis’ experience of the Stigmata, you are invited to a day of reflecting on Francis intimate relationship with the Poor, Crucified Christ and the ways in which the wounded and healing touch of Jesus can empower us–as it did did St. Francis—to become a blessed presence in our broken and wounded world.
