“Who Do You Say That I Am?”– The Portrait of Jesus in the Gospel of John

$250.00

In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus asks his disciples, “Who Do You Say That I Am?” and they offer a variety of answers (Mt. 16: 15).  However, it is in the Gospel of John that Jesus provides his own answers to this question in the seven “I am” statements that frame significant chapters in both the “’Book of Signs” and in the “Book of Glory.”  During this retreat, we will be invited to accompany Jesus as he uncovers and then reveals his own self-understanding and, through this process of exploration, to understand, perhaps more clearly, who God is and who we are.  This retreat will be in person or on ZOOM from 10:00 to 11:30 AM each day.  There will also be a reflection sheet to guide you throughout the day as you reflect on how ponder the “I am” statements and the “I am” statement you would give Jesus.

June10-16 2024  This retreat starts at 10 AM on June10 and ends at 11:30 AM on June 16, 2024.  Sessions will be held each day from 10 AM to 11:30.  There are no overnight accommodations.  You can attend in person at the Franciscan Spiritual Center.or on ZOOM. A ZOOM link will be sent a few days before the retreat begins.  The same Link will be used each day.
